The CBA's Business Divorce and Complex Ownership Disputes Committee Presents "Business Divorce Matters Seeking Both Equitable and Legal Relief Filed in the Cook County Commercial Law Section"

On June 11, 2019, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., The Chicago Bar Association's Business Divorce and Complex Ownership Disputes Committee meeting will feature a presentation from Judge Thomas R. Mulroy titled, “Business Divorce Matters Seeking Both Equitable and Legal Relief Filed in the Cook County Commercial Law Section.”

The meeting will take place at The Chicago Bar Association, 321 S. Plymouth Court, and will be broadcast live via webcast.

The Business Divorce and Complex Ownership Disputes Committee was co-founded in 2018 by Aronberg Goldgehn members Jerry Holisky and John C. Sciaccotta, who currently serve on the committee as Chair and Vice-Chair respectively.

About the Presenter

Judge Thomas R. Mulroy became the 141st President of the Chicago Bar Association in June 2017. After practicing law for more than 30 years, Judge Mulroy became a judge in 2007 and sits in the Law Division's Commercial Calendar section. He spearheaded the Commercial Calendar's innovative and successful mandatory arbitration program, which assists litigants by expediting the adjudication of certain smaller cases, and he is the supervising judge of the program.

Judge Mulroy was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois before joining Jenner & Block LLP, where he became a partner and practiced as a criminal defense and commercial trial lawyer representing clients in state and federal courts throughout the country.
