Mark Anderson Presenting the Key Current Issues in Advising S-Corporations

On Wednesday, June 15, 2016, Aronberg Goldgehn member Mark D. Anderson will present "Key Current Issues in Advising S-Corporations” at an Illinois CPA Society-O’Hare Chapter dinner event and program.

Mark will guide attendees through the many important nuances of working with S corporations and its shareholders. He will provide an update and an awareness of planning and preparation considerations, including forming and saving S corporation election; "Check-the box" elections; shareholder(s) compensation and equity based, incentive and reasonable compensation planning; shareholder basis and loans; redemptions compared to cross purchases; and dealing with the retirement or death of a shareholder.

Mark has provided general business representation, tax and financing advice in connection with numerous business acquisitions and mergers, structuring of new business formations, long-term operating businesses, multi-family housing real estate developments, shopping centers and hotels. This representation has involved private and publicly owned corporations, employee pension funds and their investment advisors, and numerous syndicated and non-syndicated partnerships, joint ventures, limited liability companies and S-corporations. Mark enjoys working on complex LLC operating agreements and is a frequent speaker on this subject, as well as asset protection planning and related matters.

The dinner event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Chandler's at Schaumburg Golf Club, 401 North Roselle Road, Schaumburg, Illinois. The schedule is as follows:

6:30 pm-7:15 pm - Dinner
7:15 pm-9:00 pm - Presentation of "Key Current Issues in Advising S-Corporations”

Cost
The cost to attend is $35 per person, which includes dinner and CPE credit.

Cash or checks (preferred) will be collected at the door. Checks should be made payable to ICPAS/O’Hare Chapter.
