Aronberg Goldgehn member Robert N. Sodikoff and his son, also a lawyer, are featured in the annual Law Day Edition of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.

Written by Paul Dailing, the article profiles the father-son lawyers who work at separate Chicago law firms. The elder Robert Sodikoff is a member of Aronberg Goldgehn Davis & Garmisa. He joined the firm straight out of law school in 1973 and practices in real estate and corporate law.

Bob’s son, Brian Sodikoff, is a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP and national co-head of the firm’s Patent Litigation Group. Graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in psychology, he only decided to go to law school after working as a live trader at the Chicago Board of Trade for several years.

The article author writes that Brian Sodikoff always admired the relationships his father was able to build in the mid-sized firm environment. The elder Sodikoff developed many professional and personal relationships with people and companies who would stay with him for transaction after transaction over decades.

“It’s beyond clients,” Brian Sodikoff is quoting as saying.
