Aronberg Goldgehn announces the opening of a new office in Wheaton, Illinois and the expansion of its Personal, Financial and Estate Planning practice with the addition of attorney Karen R. Mills as Member.

Karen will continue to focus her practice on probate litigation, estate planning, trust and estate administration, special needs planning, asset protection and guardianships for minors and disabled adults, including contested matters. Karen is active in the DuPage County Bar Association, and currently serves on its Board of Directors. Prior to her legal career, Karen spent nearly 20 years in the banking industry advising clients on wealth management, preservation and transfer strategies.

Karen will practice in the firm’s newly-established Wheaton office, located at 301 S. County Farm Road. The new office provides a convenient location for the firm’s many existing clients in and around DuPage County, as well as new clients that will benefit from the firm's expanded reach.

“We are delighted to welcome Karen to the firm and to expand our presence beyond Chicago,” stated Aronberg Goldgehn co-Managing Member Jerry Holisky. “Estate planning, trust and probate litigation and estate administration have been areas of focus for firm growth. The addition of Karen enhances our capabilities and expands our presence to the suburbs where our client base is growing.”

Aronberg Goldgehn’s estate planning practice focuses on the representation of high-net worth individuals, business owners and trustees with respect to income, estate and tax planning, probate and estate administration, probate litigation, and charitable gifting techniques.

“Aronberg Goldgehn is well-known for its estate planning practice, and I’m excited to be joining a growing firm with a deep bench not only in that area but offering a full suite of legal services from corporate to IP to litigation and family law,” Karen added.

In addition to her legal practice, Karen is a frequent speaker and presenter on estate planning topics. In the community, she serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Northwestern Medicine and co-chairs the Philanthropic Advisory Council for NWM Central DuPage and Delnor Hospitals. Karen has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in the Illinois legal profession by Illinois Super Lawyers.
