OSBA Corporate Counsel Section Appoints Alan S. Wernick as Treasurer

Aronberg Goldgehn is proud to announce that attorney Alan S. Wernick has been selected as Treasurer for the Ohio State Bar Association Corporate Counsel section. As Treasurer, Alan will oversee the section’s financial management, review budgets, approve payments and more.

The Corporate Counsel section, one of the largest sections of the OSBA, offers an interactive forum for over 1,600 legal professionals interested in regulatory, legislative and judicial matters related to corporate practice. Section members come together to discuss and implement programs and events that further the work of the section and serve its members. The section also serves as a resource to help members communicate and share resources.

Alan graduated from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and has been an Alumni Board Member for the College of Business since 2008. Prior to going to law school, he worked as an auditor. After law school, Alan began his legal career working as Associate General Counsel and then was promoted to General Counsel for a very large real estate development company.

Alan is an experienced business transactions attorney, advocate and arbitrator/mediator who concentrates his practice in the areas of information technology, privacy/cybersecurity, intellectual property and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He has an extensive track record advising organizations acquiring, using and selling/licensing technologies and related services as well as advising businesses on data privacy law compliance, handling data breaches, and representing businesses in disputes concerning his practice areas. Alan is also a prolific author and lecturer.
