Aronberg Goldgehn member John Sciaccotta will moderate the “New Paths to Affordability” panel at the “New Dimensions in Affordable Housing” virtual meeting presented by the Chicago Bar Association’s Local Government Committee.
The “New Paths to Affordability” panel will be presented from 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
Panel Description
As the lack of affordable housing continues to challenge our city, region and state, policy makers are looking to creative new approaches to provide the much-needed housing. Speakers will discuss the erosion of single-family zoning districts in some areas; allowing addition of Accessory Dwelling Units on the same lot as single-family homes; the conversion of single-family homes into multiple units (garages, multiple families); proposals to prevent de-conversions in the city of Chicago; land use trends in Minnesota, Oregon and California, as well as modular homes, tiny homes and mini housing.
